Touch a Truck and Fun Runs

Touch a Trucks are sponsored by the Rec Department or Westgate to bring together all types of vehicles to kids AND adults and come see all the neat vehicles many people use everyday.

The Fairview Park Auxiliary Police Assoc. along with the Fairview Park Police Department provide training to not only our Auxiliary Officers both those from surrounding cities that make up the Westshore Enforcement Bureau.

What started as a tree lighting ceremony has now become an outdoor festival. There is music, food trucks, hot chocolate, and much more. It may get cold in Fairview Park but come warm your spirit during the holidays with fellow residents where you can talk about who has the best decorations.

“We are grateful for the police presence along our 5k course. Our student volunteers, as well as their parents, felt more comfortable knowing students weren't alone in the park or on less trafficked streets.”

Debi Albrecht, Alumni & Development Director, Lutheran West

“It [the training] was great! It was just nice to practice tactics it's been like 4 years since I did any training with asp...we need to do more joint trainings.”

Justin Gallagher, Auxiliary Police Officer, North Olmsted

“The ASP training was very effective. Good explanations, good drills, paired up teams, sufficient hands-on, varied situations, thoroughly instructed and follow-up pop quiz. Appropriate length, no "busy work" fillers. What's not to like? It would be an appropriate familiarization class every 3-5 years. All in all, kudos to the Fairview PD training!!”

Bill Ahonen, Auxiliary Police Officer, Westlake

“Thanks for the invitation to join you for the Human Trafficking presentation last night. It was very eye opening for me. I now have a better awareness and understanding of some unimaginable things that really can and do happen.”

Tim Rasgaitis, Auxiliary Police Officer, Bay Village
